We are delighted to welcome on board former England and Staffordshire Youth representative Jake Jones as an Academy Ambassador.
Jones from Stoke-On-Trent achieved stand out victories as a junior player winning over 15 titles including the Swedish and Denmark open. As well as individual success Jones was successful with the England Youth team (2009-2011) achieving multiple titles at all three major championships including winning the mixed pairs with Fallon Sherrock at the 2011 WDF World Cup in Ireland and 6 at both the Europe Cup and British International Championships 7 in total. 2011 was to be a memorable year for the potteries thrower winning both the Eastbourne and Torremolinos mens singles titles becoming the youngest winner of both at just 17 years of age. Later that year Jones reached the final of the Winmau World Youth Masters losing out to Jimmy Hendricks of the Netherlands 4-2.
Between 2011 and 2017 Jones competed on the PDC Development tour reaching two finals and qualifying for the World Championship on four occasions.
During lockdown Jones has been on brilliant form winning 18 online tournaments
